1 - NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF THE ODONTO-STOMATOLOGISTES OF CAMEROUN (ANOSC)
The national association of the odonto-stomatologists of Cameroun (ANOSC) creates the 03/07 1993 has as a seat the town of Douala. It is a national body, nongovernmental, apolitical and with nonlucrative goal, creates within the dental profession, of which the goal is to promote oral health. For this reason, the ANOSC is affiliated with several international dental associations: - Member of the international dental federation (FDI) - Member of the grouping of French-speaking dental associations (GADEF) - Associate member with the French union for dental health bucco (UFSBD)

1.2 STRATEGIC AXES: - To sensitize the public and especially the young people with the importance of the prevention and oral hygiene - To develop near the Cameronian dental surgeons, a new vision of their profession; - To enrich the old therapeutic practices by a role by prevention and maintenance. Voluntary dental surgeons take part in actions of prevention organized outside the dentist's surgeries, and in particular in the primary schools and the secondary establishments. They can thus fight the oral affections very early and develop at the young subjects, of the practices of hygiene and prevention which constitute the first weapons to counter these diseases.
 1.3 ACTIONS AND PROJECTS OF THE ANOSC:
 - Collective prevention Campaigns. - Sensitizing and tracking of the children in the schools with an adapted material (illustrated posters, videos, books, cases of brushing…) - Sensitizing and tracking of the adults in the companies and the women in female associations. - Individual Prevention as a dentist's surgery by the use of supports teaching (postings, folders or video in waiting rooms, preventive councils in treatment rooms. - Search for means of assistance to the young people in situation of precariousness to reach the dental care.
 
1.4 RESULTS: Many projects were concluded on the initiative of the ANOSC: - Open days at the time of the world days for oral health; - Actions of prevention carried out in schools; - A professional seminar of formation to the prevention and oral hygiene in Central Africa, organized in Cameroun with the support of the grouping of French-speaking dental associations (GADEF) and of the French union for oral health (UFSBD) in February 1996; - Behaviour in Yaounde of the 9th congress of the GADEF under the high patronage of Its Excellence the President of the Republic of Cameroun in February 2002. - The setting-up of a partnership with the committee main road of fight against VIH-SIDA (CNLS); - The regular organization of meetings of exchanges and trainings of the professionals of Douala and Yaounde in collaboration with the pharmaceutical laboratories.
 
 1.5 MESSAGE OF THE ANOSC: - The new dental concept. ? dental prevention with the daily newspaper. ? need for the support of the two sides of industry and economic in the compliance with the rules of deontology specific to the dental surgeons. ? training of the dental surgeons (seminars and congress research projects), ? formation of the relays of prevention, ? the creation of supports of communication, ? the organization of open days, ? the organization of meetings of tracking - gold rules of the oral prevention: ? a regular visit with the dentist's surgery ? a good dental hygiene (an effective brushing of the teeth and gums) ? a balanced food (by limiting nibbling and abuse sugars)
 
2 - The CAMERONIAN COLLEGE Of ODONTO-STOMATOLOGIE AND SURGERY MAXILLO-FACIALE (COSCA - CMF)
 
The college of Cameronian odonto-stomatology and maxillo-facial surgery (COSCA-CMF) was born in 1993 on the initiative of the African college from odonto-stomatology and maxillo-facial surgery (COSA - CMF), whose seat is in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. It was then a question of equipping the African countries with subsidiary companies of this scientific organization under regional, nongovernmental, and with nonlucrative goal.
 
2.1 OBJECTIVES: - To gather the facial surgeons maxillo, teaching, enquiring odonto - stomatologists exerting in Cameroun; - To encourage and promote research in odonto - stomatology and in facial surgery maxillo in Cameroun; - To offer to the caused experts possibilities of formation, information and scientific exchanges with the mediums of odonto-stomatology and maxillo-facial surgery of the whole world; - To collaborate with the pharmaceutical laboratories and the houses of sale of products and materials relating to the activities of the odonto - stomatologists and of the maxillo-facial surgeons; - To organize meetings of exchange and information of the experts; - To organize and accomodate the international congresses having to be held on the Cameronian ground; - To ensure the effective participation of the odonto-stomatologists and maxillo-facial surgeons the national medical conferences; - To offer its expertise to all associations eager to assist in their oral health.

2.3 ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE COSCA-CMF:
- Participation in the creation of the COSA-CMF (Abidjan, 1992); - Organization of the international congress of the COSA-CMF (Yaounde, 1994); - Participation in all the international conferences of the COSA-CMF; - Participation in all the national medical conferences; - Organization of two-monthly meetings of the odonto-stomatologists; - Scientific Support at the general assemblies of the Order; - Scientific Support with the meetings of the ANOSC; - Participation and communications with the congress of international association for dental research (IADR), of San Diego (the USA) in 2002, and of Gôteborg (Sweden) in 2003.
